Patti picked up the camera at the age of ten. An immigrant from Colombia, South America, she felt lost in the English world, the camera was her door to the world around her. The camera became her voice. Since then she has not put it down.

Patti has been shooting and teaching photography for the past twenty years. Both as an artist in painting and photography she has experienced the changing industry of art. Trying to be accepted as an artist is a challenge Patti faces on a daily basis.

Patti received her BA in Film and Cinema from San Francisco State University and her MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University. She also studied Art at the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana.
