Patti Garcia discovered her artistic passion at the age of ten. An immigrant from Colombia, South America, she felt lost in the English world, the camera was her door to the world around her. Her art became her voice.
Patti has been creating and teaching art and photography for the past twenty years. She has experienced the many changing movements in the art world and tries to keep up with new technology while keeping true to her vision. Trying to be accepted as an artist is a challenge Patti faces on a daily basis. Her artistic vision is more then taking photos or making art, it’s a way of life for her.
Patti received her BA in Film and Cinema from San Francisco State University and her MFA from the Academy of Art University. She also studied Art at the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana.
